- None currently, they're all in! :)
I'll be adding more books as I write them. I've got a few commitments which means some will become unavailable...Now's the best time to subscribe and read!
Are the Books Clean/Appropriate for Minors?
100% no! All my books and even short stories contain multiple open-door bedroom scenes that are very much for adults. Ironically my books don't really contain swear words except the graphic words associated with bedroom-times. I have a few made-up swear words though.
What About Audiobooks?
Currently almost all my audiobooks are owned by other companies (Lords of Atlantis #1-4) or they're locked into an Audible contract (Blades of Arris #1-6). I do have three audiobooks that I'd like to add to the subscription -- the Carnelian Dragons audiobooks and the Saved by the Sea Lord audiobooks, all three of which I've narrated myself. I could generate AI audiobooks if there's interest, but honestly, I don't think AI sounds that great. Eventually I would like to make audiobooks part of the subscription, at least the three that I have, and I'm exploring how to do it technologically.
Why a Monthly Online Subscription?
I started out in Kindle Unlimited, Amazon's exclusive reading program, in 2017 and since leaving I've gotten so many questions about if I'll ever go back. Some books actually are scheduled to go back, but for most, nope. They're out for good. They're in so many other places, but not everyone has access to KoboPlus or libraries. After having my bookstore for a year I've finally become aware this was even possible! And then I got so excited, and in two weeks I've taught myself a ton of things -- including .css, html, JSON, and how to code in Python!!! -- to make this happen. And here we are!
I’m super excited about adding more features, and I hope you’re excited too!
What about Downloading the Books?
I know KU lets you read the books in the Kindle app even if you don't have internet, but I don't currently have that ability. If I do, then I'll absolutely change it, and you'll be able to read offline in a The Night Bookstore app or something.
If you really need to download the books because your internet is too unpredictable, I recommend buying the books. I've got a couple of great deals for my backlist books right now!
How Do I Login?
Even if it's your first time, click the little blue "forgot password" text. It will take you to a screen to enter your email, and then it will send you a link to set your password. Please use the same email that you used for your purchase!
What Happens When I Cancel?
You can continue reading until the end of your last paid month, then you can no longer access the books. So if you start the subscription on September 3rd, read for a few days, then cancel, you can still keep reading until October 2nd.
What if I need a Refund?
There are no refunds. Please just cancel immediately and consider your accidental purchase to be a donation to the arts.
Why a Pumpkin Spice Latte?
Why not? :) Okay, my *fave* Starbucks is actually the s'mores frappuccino because I'm obsessed with marshmallows and chocolate, but it's only a summer time drink and apparently they've discontinued it forever! (T_T) I can't imagine them discontinuing the pumpkin spice latte. It's so quintessentially fall, and also quite delicious if you like pumpkin. So I've set my price to the grande PSL I bought in Washington, home state of the original Starbucks, ON FRIDAY THE 13TH in September 2024. It's the PSL Index. :)
